I have. I can remember when I first started studying psychology, I knew therapy was effective for making people feel better but I wanted something quick and easy I could do on the fly. Sometimes I just felt a bit out of sorts and wanted to shake myself out of it - but the things I thought of didn't really work.
Fast forward 25 years and there are a few things I have picked up along the way that I now keep in my back pocket for just such a moment - when I want to bust my stress or boost my mood. Because I have done them over and over I know they work (and research shows they do too). And I can pick the right one for the job. So I decided to put all my favourites in this fun little course so that other people could have a tool kit of portable, quick and easy to remember things they could do anywhere, anytime.

Our Brain's Negativity Bias Can Change!
Our mind can be our best friend or our worst enemy. As humans, our brains tend toward a negativity bias. You might notice that the tiniest bad thing can ruin your entire day, even if everything else about that day has been wonderful. That's because our brains are a very old design, wired for survival - so we focus on the bad, quickly forgetting the good!
Thanks to exciting research, we now know that we have the ability to rewire our brains. We used to think that the way we were was fixed and unchanging, and that we were stuck with the brains we have once we reached adulthood. But we now know that our brains change as a result of experience, right up until the day we die.
